Did you know it takes 10-12 ponytails to create one wig and it costs about $1,000 to cover manufacturing and related costs to make a wig?
Growing your hair out and then getting a hefty cut and donating the locks to have a wig made for someone that needs it is a heartfelt gesture.
For everyone asking, this is true the Canadian Cancer Society is no longer taking real-hair donations. Synthetic hair is actually preferred, they say.
However some organizations still do accept real hair and it is still in demand, people are still making wigs from real-hair and providing them for free to people in need.
There's many people experiencing hair loss as a result of chemotherapy, radiation therapy, alopecia, trichotillomania, burns and other medical reasons.
We've been helping our clients donate their hair every year for the last few years.
If your hair is ready to be donated we can help you donate it.
